15 Hours drive by local express bus or Jeep around  and 14 to 18 days from Phaplu to Everest Base camp 

By road is the best way to reach Everest Base Camp with wonderful scenery, diverse landscapes, and a wonderful forest of pine and rhododendron. From Kathmandu, it takes almost 8 to 9 hours to reach Phaplu which is 269.6km away. After reach in Phaplu then the walking trekking start. Everest Base Camp is just 60.3km away from Phaplu where you have 2 days of rest. If you also return by bus to Kathmandu then you have to add some more days.

By domestic air for 30 Minutes and trek 10 to 14 days from Lukla to Everest Base Camp

This is the route that is taken by every trekker most of the time. It takes almost 30 minutes to reach Lukla from Kathmandu valley. After reach in Lukla, you can stay overnight Lukla or you can start your trekking toward Phakding. From Lukla, EBC is just 37.2km away. We have 2 days of rest in Namche Bazaar and Dingboche. Most people prefer EBC by airway because it saves time who don’t have enough time still want to trek in this Himalayan land.
