Everest Base Camp trek itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Kathmandu

After your arrival at Tribhuvan international airport in Kathmandu valley, your trekking operator or your trekking guide will be there to pick you up with a warm welcome. After a warm welcome at the international airport of Nepal, you will be transferred to the hotel. And on the night of the day, you arrive in Nepal you will have a welcome dinner with your trekking guide.

Day 2: Fly towards Lukla

Early in the morning after having your breakfast, you will drive toward the domestic airport to fly towards Lukla. With the beautiful and scenic flight from Kathmandu valley, we will reach Lukla which is the starting point of every trekking on this route. You will be surrounded by an eye-catching view of the Himalayas, green hills, and landscapes on the entire flight. Lukla is a small mountain town where you will spend overnight.

Day 3: Lukla to Namche

Early in the morning, we start our trekking toward the Namche bazaar after having breakfast. The trail towards Namche Bazaar is quite an easy one as it is primarily a mix of dirt. You will cross through a suspension bridge on the other side of the village while heading towards Namche Bazaar. The trails are a bit tougher from this point.

Day 4: Rest in Namche bazaar

During this time you do not rest but go on a short hike or roam around the new environment. Short Hike up to Everest View Hotel and real Everest Panorama view. We will be exploring the traditional villages around the Namche bazaar. Namche bazaar is the beautiful Sherpa village with the trade hub of the Khumbu region. On this day, we will explore the Sherpa museum to know about Sherpa culture and traditions, and the history of mountaineering.

Day 5: Namche bazaar to Tengboche

On the fifth day of trekking, we will head towards Tengboche. There are not many steep ascents and descents today which give plenty of time. The trek between these two points is quite challenging due to the elevation gain. You will pass through the beautiful rhododendron forest before embarking on Tengboche. After 4 hours of walking from Namche, we will reach Tengboche and spend the overnight here.

Day 6: Tengboche to Dingboche

The trekking starts after having a hot breakfast in Tengboche. The trek goes through the beautiful villages like Pangbuche and Samare, and then we will reach Dingboche. After 5 hours of walking from Tengboche, we will get to Dingboche. Today the journey is very much exciting with wonderful landscape, and beautiful Himalayan views.

Day 7: Rest in Dingboche

Today is the second rest day of our trekking. We will do small hiking to the sister village and then back to the hotel. You will pay off in rewarding views but taking it easy is the most important thing to do. There is a number of option available for a short hike.

Day 8: Dingboche to Lobuche

On the 8th day of trekking, we will head towards Lobuche. The trek begins with a gentle climb towards the Pheriche village today. We will pass through alpine scrub and yak pasture while trekking above the valley. On this day of trekking, we will have a close view of Ama Dablam. The trails continue on to Thokla pass where the ascent is challenging.

Day 9: Lobuche to Gorakshep

Today is an exciting day because we will ascend towards Gorakshep. The trail takes us for about 3 hours over boulders and the rough terrain to the small settlement. After 6 hours of walking from Lobuche, we will reach Gorakshep and have some rest. Leave your Luggage and take some snacks Continue to Everest Base Camp in the afternoon. Nex Early morning hike up to Kalapathar peak 5545m. Take a enjoy the sunrise view with Magnificent himalaya scenery and trek to continue.

Day 10: Gorakshep to Pheriche

Today on the 10th day, we will head towards Pheriche. The walking distance from Gorakshep to Pheriche is just 7 to 8 hours. During the walking time, we will pass through several small villages, suspension bridges, landscape, and beautiful mountain views. This is an exciting feature of the area.

Day 11: Pheriche to Namche bazaar

Before embarking on the trekking, early in the morning we will hike towards EBC. After hiking in EBC, we will head towards the hotel where we spend the overnight to have our breakfast. This is the long day of hiking which is made harder by the hard hiking the day before. You will trek downhill and slowly lose elevation with viewing the same scenarios we reach Namche Bazaar.

Day 12: Namche to Lukla

After spending the overnight in Namche bazaar, we head towards the Lukla. Your trekking time in the Everest region is about the end. Lukla is the starting and ending point of every trekking of the Everest region. Cross over some suspension bridge and walk along the Dudh Khosi River and do a steep climb to reach Lukla where we are going to spend overnight. It takes almost 7 to 8 hours to reach Lukla from Namche.

Day 13: Fly towards Kathmandu

This is the last day in the Everest region. We wake up early in the morning and catch a flight back to Kathmandu valley. The fly will view the beautiful scenery of the Himalayas for a final time. Within 30 minutes we will reach Kathmandu valley then your guide drop you at the hotel. There will be a farewell dinner for you.

Day 14: Final departure 

Today is the last day in Nepal for you. Our representative will take you to Tribhuvan international airport in the time for your onward flight with hoping that you will again join us for this kind of exciting journey in Nepal.
